Packer game #2

the game is in hd but is seems wtmj can lock the hd feed signal.

wkow has the hd and it looks great.  Looks like wtmj is showing wfrv analog from some sort of time warner cable feed.

LucasD

Man... it looks terrible.  They should drop to 4:3.  Yuck.

Matt Heebner

yea seriously...tap into the damn NFL network feed or something...Get your act together TMJ....SD football looks UGLY

RLJSlick

OMG What the hell is this?!?!?!?  I hope they get the HD feed back soon!  This is nuts in 2009!

So what exactly is the reason for this?  Can they fix it?  Man, if this was the regular season...

Jack 1000

Can't see the game from where I am now, but what is happening?  Is it that the picture is not in HD or the HD quality is very poor?

Even though the Brewers are on rain delay....the picture on 58-2 might be worse looking.

All of the Packers' four preseason contests will be aired state-wide on WFRV, the Official Packers Station. If you happen to live out of the state, you can still watch coverage via satellite: Digital Ku-Band satellite on AMC 1 (103° West), transponder 18 (DL Freq 12060.0V) .

WTMJ simply needs to point their dish at the satellite and pickup the feed.  I am in the milwaukee area and can get the signal on my 7.5 foot satellite dish.  So ch 4 must be having a problem locking the signal.

WKOW 27 in madison has the game on in HD they must have a better satellite dish to get the signal.

I can tell wtmj is using a time warner cable feed to get channel 5 out of green bay, and they are streching it.

Regular season has more than one satellite feed, so wtmj would have a backup option.

RLJSlick

We're not getting the HD feed from Channel 4. Channel 5 out of Green Bay say their are in HD but Channel 4 isnt getting it.

Game is in standard def even though it was announced the game is in 'crystal clear high definition' at the start of the game

Thanks for the explanation.

I'm having a real difficult time identifying players with this PQ, but at least it's not regular season.

The game is produced in HD and it is in HD.  I am watching it in HD from Madison WKOW 27.  It is also in HD from WFRV 5 in Green bay if you live to the north.  Heck it is even HD up in upper michigan on WJMN.

Might be in HD in the other wisconsin cities if they are able to do it.

jjallou

At least the team is playing well.
Perhaps TMZ4 could call WVTV and ask them to air it in HD. :D

RLJSlick

They look great OMG, Farve who?

Yea,

I just saw it on my HDTV. (In Brookfield here)  It's definitely in SD.  Must be a problem with the local WTMJ feed.  I am sure they will get calls and e-mails about this!

For all the money they spend on news and WEATHER. (Caps intended, hahaha) you would think they would be able to get their HD signal working and keep it working!
