Good thing I never paid for their measly HD Premium Package...now it's really totally useless.

Yeah, I was gonna cancel after the end of MOJO but never did. Time to fix that.

The mistake that TWC made was putting HD Net and HD Net Movies on the optional HD Tier for $6.95/mo.  They should have just added those channels to the HD Digital Standard Package, the same with MGM-HD.  Those three channels for $7.00 more a month? ridiculous.  Make HD channels that are standard HD on Digital Cable, available to all Digital Cable subs.

Looks like Mav TV will be replacing one of those channels, which I have no interest.  The other HD channel they are talking about on the site is Smithsonian HD, which could be kind of cool.  A channel that a lot of people have been requesting for TWC's HD Digital Tier is Spike TV-HD.  That would be better than Mav TV.

I have Smithsonian HD now that I'm on U-verse. It's a decent channel. Seems a little repeat-ey to me, but still decent.

Wow that's too bad, I'm so glad I left Time Warner.

Just when you think TWC wanted to add more HD channels...it starts to dump them...it is definitely no "HD Leader" at all!
MavTV HD is a joke, not worth the $6.95/month HD package, though Smithsonian HD might be.
TWC Milwaukee has many fewer HD channels once again than other TWC locations and worse, than Dishnetwork, Directv and U-Verse have, now this....

Other TWC divisions seem to be doing better than TWC-Milwaukee for HD content.  However, dropping of the HD-Net channels seems to be a nationwide thing.  TWC claims that "just because HD-Net and HD-Net Movies are HD, their response is, "Being in HD isn't enough."  Whatever that means.  I think the addition of Mav TV is to try to appeal to the younger male demographic, but at what cost?  Most of Mav TV's content seems to be Reality TV based.  Meaning high on gimmicks and low on substance.  What channels do you think TWC should be adding?

Yes, I know it is a TWC-national thing with the dis-agreement with HDNET, but it couldn't come at a worse time, especially for those without choices like U-Verse or FIOS.:bang:

For months now, TWC Milwaukee has been indicating that Weather Channel HD, Planet Green HD and ESPNU HD would be coming, but so far, nothing.
Someone in our forum that has/had SageTV mentioned Weather Channel HD appeared like was to be on 503 and Planet Green HD on 521 some time ago, but that was it.:huh?:

Look at the HD channel selection of Dish, Directv and U-Verse, the many other HD channel choices these providers offer with channels that do have significant HD content: TWC Milwaukee-add these...what's the problem?

Andrew

Spike HD would be a great addition, although how much of its content is in HD?

I had the HD Package for a while ... then SDV came along and I realized that the four HD channels were going to be lost.  I wasn't happy with paying 6.95/month for watching Andy Barker PI and other 1 - 2 two run seasons, not to mention how random the episodes would be.  The rep didn't understand in September why I would want to drop such a wonderful package.  Not to mention I have been in the TWC office at Mayfair when customers are making the switch to hd and are lied to about the "HD-Package" and how they need it.

It's funny TWC boasts that they are the home of "Free HD" but they are fining more and more ways to put HD content into other tiers.  Above someone mentioned Spike TV HD, not to mention MLB Network HD is also part of another package.  I'm sure more and more channels will be moved into tiers as well.

Where are you located?  Here is what is known about MLB for TWC subs:

In Milwaukee, (I am in Brookfield) MLB is on SD channel 122 and is NOT a part of the optional Digital Sports Package that is 4.95/mo.  It's on Digital Standard Cable.  The same with MLB-HD on 583.  If you have Digital Standard. (Channels 1-200,)  excluding the optional sports package of which MLB/MLB-HD are not part, you have MLB (122) and MLB-HD. (583) (The optional Digital Sports Package for 4.95/mo is channels 106-120.)

The only way you would NOT get this channel is if you had Analog Cable (Channels 2-99) OR Digital Basic (Channels 2-99 plus Music Choice and Movies on Demand.)  Move up to Digital Standard for those added 100 channels and MLB in both formats will be a part of them.
