The Brewers web site states the game should be in HD, but it's not on Dish Network. I'm getting pretty disappointed by this. Before I start thinking about switching to DirecTV, is it in HD there? Thanks!

It was in HD on DirectV tonight and the game tomorrow is also in HD.

I have DirecTV, not Dish, so maybe there is something I don't understand.  If FSN has the game in HD and Dish has FSN-HD, they don't they show the HD broadcast?

You are trying to be logical.

Pleasantly, I was wrong and the game was in HD last night. Lets hope the rest of the week is the same story.

Complicating the problem is that Dish wants to give us Fox Sports North as our regional sports network, even though Fox Sports claims to have made FS Wisconsin a full fledged RSN.  Dish claims "FCC regulations" as to why our RSN is Minneapolis targeted.  Then again, beyond sporting events, most of the programming seems to be the same (Kent Herbeck Outdoors?  Sounds pretty Minnesotan to me.)

Nonetheless, I switched to Dish a long time ago because of more (at the time) HD channels.  It was a bit of a pain, since it meant losing TiVo (those claims of the Dish DVR being better that TiVo?  Come on. As some one who designing computer user interfaces for a living, who the heck thought a prompt like "Do you wish to delete this recording?  Yes, No, Cancel" was good design?), but way more HD channels. Since dropping Voom (RushHD was great) and DirecTV adding channels they are pretty much the on par with DirectTV.  Sure, they can claim their 1080p PPV movies, but I really don't use them much.

Dish botched a lot of HD Brewers games last year, and seem to be on course to do the same this year.  Given it is almost the only time I'm watching programming in the summer, I'm heavily considering a switch.

That if you switch to "D", that each set will need its own receiver.
