I had the option today of watching the Brewers home opener on 3 different channels.  I selected 9-1 WGN out of Chicago.  The announcers are Chicago based but what an ending.  Amazing that FSN does not show this series in HD.

Well the Brewers announcers are terrible, so you're lucky. Len and Bob are just mediocre, but they were blacked out here.

Yeah, I also watched the game on 9-1, because I am lucky enough of getting that channel OTA. Len Casper is fair to the Brewers, he worked before at 620 WTMJ. WGN broadcasts are very good in PQ.
BTW, today the game is in HD on Comcast Sprts Net (ch. 665 on DirecTV, it is in Kenosha, Racine and even here in Muskego). Also the game is in HD on MLB HD Alt 1 channel (214-1 on DirecTV). But I think it will be blackouted for us here and in Chicago. But will see.
Go Brewers:)

I chose to watch the FSN telecast in standard definition over the Cubs feed on the Dish. I'll make that sacrifice in order to support the Brewers over Chicago any day. Shouldn't the Cubs feed be blacked out in southeast Wisconsin anyway, since it was televised locally? It wasn't blacked out on Dish Network here in Walworth County. I was a little disappointed that the Cubs broadcast was available here in the Milwaukee area, taking ratings, and therefore revenue, away from the local Brewers.

Len and Bob and absolutely horrible.  For a major market the Cubs have some of the worst announcers in baseball. Len was a hack when he was in Milwaukee and he's certainly no better now.  I don't know if WGN pays them or the Cubs but how can you have a $130 million payroll and a minor league broadcast crew. On the radio Pat Hughes is ok but Ron Santo?  If he rose up 6 levels he'd be bad.

Ron Santo has to be the MOST unprofessional announcer I've ever heard. He's not an announcer,he's purely a cheerleader. Pathetic.
