I noticed as of last week - look we I have new firmware loaded on the 8300hdc.  Colors and graphics are obviously different now.  I have a external USB WD my DVR expander plugged into it for the last 6 months and now I am having lots of problems.  I'm having to reboot "power down/up" to get my list of shows to show up... it says 0% free when it's messed up.   After days of fighting this and reboots it looks like now I lost almost all of my saved shows.  As I went from 89% full to now 17% full.  Wondering if the main DVR lost it's hard disk and is feeding off the external USB drive.  Anybody ele having problems with the new firmware.  Anybody know how to run diagnostics to see the firmware version?

A few posts in the other thread on the new firmware for the 8300HDC mention that they are having virtually identical problems with eSATA drives hooked up to the 8300HDC. It appears they have (accidentally or deliberately) broken the ability to use external storage with Navigator.
