I have a friend whose group wasn't able to get tickets this year for the Brewer Home home opener and so he's having them over to his house.

Anyone know for sure if  will be broadcast in HD, and available on D* locally? Any particular subscritpion neeeded if it is?

The Brewers haven't announced their HD lineup yet.  As was stated in another thread they said last year that all games would be in HD in 2009 but that isn't going to be the case.  I would imagine the home opener would be in HD.  You need the Sports Pack to get FSN-WI on D*. And you need the HD package to get it in HD I believe.  I have the premium package or whatever it's called, I get every channel they have.  Someone who has it ala carte on D* may be able to verify.

I have Total Choice Plus and receive FSN-WI. You do need to have the HD package to get it in HD.

I also have DirecTV and you do not have to purchase the sports tier.  FSN-WI is included with packages because it is Milwaukee's RSN.  If you have the HD package FSN-WI HD is included too.

I can concur that is the case here in Tosa.  No Sports Pack needed to view any Brewer games on 669.  Same goes for the Bucks.
