2009 BOOK BLAST! EVENT SPONSORED BY QUBO

More than 100 malls across the country will help kids discover the joys of reading

Magical reading adventure awaits kids of all ages at
shopping malls across the country as the Simon Kidgits Club brings fictional favorites to life during
its 6th annual Book Blast! event, which runs from February 14 through April 4.

The Simon Kidgits Club Book Blast! tour is sponsored by qubo, the TV and online
entertainment service for children and families, and developed by Simon Brand Ventures, the
business to consumer arm of Simon Property Group, the nation's largest developer, owner and
operator of shopping malls.

Fun for the whole family, this free event is designed to introduce kids to the magical world
of stories and books with delightful celebrity storytellers, engaging activities and great giveaways.
More than 100 Simon malls across the country will participate in this year's Book Blast!

qubo characters "Maisy" and VeggieTales' "Bob the Tomato" and "Larry the Cucumber"
will make appearances at select malls to underscore qubo's commitment to literacy and positive
values.

"Most of qubo's shows are associated with popular children's books and all are filled with
great stories and memorable characters," said Rick Rodriguez president and general manager, qubo.
"As firm believers in the power of storytelling, we are delighted to partner with the Simon Kidgits
Club in sponsoring 2009 Book Blast! and in helping to nurture a love of reading among children."

Qubo first partnered with the Simon Kidgits Club last year on the Mini Chefs mall tour,
which reinforced qubo's commitment to healthy living for children and families. Each mall venue will feature readings from select books including Maisy Goes To The Library and Babar - A Gift
For Mother, both of which are linked to qubo series, as well as other favorites, such as I am Really
Really Concentrating, Think Green! and Cha Cha, The Dancing Dog.

During Book Blast!, families also can sneak a peek at other family-friendly TV
programming from qubo, including Maisy, Babar, VeggieTales, Jane and the Dragon, The Zula
Patrol, and 3-2-1 Penguins! Attending kids will have the chance to pick up various activity sheets
and prizes from qubo and at select malls, qubo will be giving away copies of With Love From
Maisy. Kidgits Club Members will be eligible to receive a free, comfy Kidgits reading cushion.
Children not yet members of the Simon Kidgits Club can become part of the Kidgits gang at
the event ($5.00 membership fee).

Book Blast! is part of a national effort by Simon Property Group to instill a love of books in
children and to encourage them to share the joy of reading with others. Kids will also have the
chance to help instill a love of reading in others by bringing a new or gently used book for donation
to a host of charities.

The Simon Kidgits Club Book Blast! is one of several programs and events held throughout
the year for members of the Simon Kidgits Club, which focuses on health, wellness, education,
safety and entertainment for children ages three through eight.

Although the event is free to members and non-members alike, families can sign up for the
