MLB Network blackouts

I have my directv DVR set up to find anything on certain channels that has the word brewers in it and record it.

So it has been occasionally finding preseason brewers games on MLB network.  I think it's found 3 so far.  Two of them (including the one on tonight), were blacked out for my area.  I did notice tonight the game was on earlier on 58.2 WMLW, so maybe it has to do with that?

I'm assuming this is a directv error and not true MLB rules?  Are they trying to encourage me to fly to phoenix and watch the game live?

If a game is on MLB Network and also on FSN or 41 it will be blacked out on MLB.  That's not a DirecTV rule.  Tonight MLB is showing the Brewer game on a delay so it's silly to be blacked out.

That's really nuts, because I didn't see it on FSN, 41, Dirctv or MLB!

D* & E* have issues blacking what/when they should.

Last nites game had no blackout restrictions per mlb.com. TWC had it on FSN, MLB, & MLB HD.

Todays game should only be blacked out on FSN WI if your within WMLWs viewing area.

It's over.  It started at 6:00 on 41.   MLB Netowrk started it on a delay at 8:00 but it's blacked out here.:huh?:

WMLW is re-airing it from 6-9.

I didn't see a no blackout disclaimer on mlb.com today like I did yesterday.

OK - this all makes sense, but what about tonight's game?

The schedule at brewers.com shows that the game @LAD will be on MLBN (as well as MLB.TV) - no other channel here in WI is showing it.  The TV schedule at MLBN's site shows that it's going to be on as well (subject to blackout).

However, my TWC guide shows that they will be showing SD@LAA instead.  Anybody know what's up w/that??

It better not be blacked out.  No local TV should mean no MLB Network blackout.

I never checked it out to see if it was on or not (ended up watching Villanova get blown out of the gym instead).  Did anyone in the area check to see if it was indeed on?  I'm guessing it wasn't.

On an even more egregious note, the guide (and the MLBN site) both said that the Brewers installment of '30 Clubs...' was going to be on at 2am Sunday AM, so I DVR'd it.  Turns out MLBN said "WHAT!?  Brewers coverage?  Can't have that", and showed the CHW episode instead.  Nice... :bang:

I can verify that MLB Network had on the Padres vs. Angels.  And it was a replay of a game already played no less.  This was on Directv so I can't speak for TWC.  I just don't get it.  Here's hoping that I don't have to rely on MLBN as my sole provider of any games this season.

Yeah, I heard from someone well outside the Milwaukee metro area that they too got hte Padres/Angels game. Looks like it wasn't a blackout situation so much as a last minute change to which game they'd carry.
