I'm glad  ATT is here to keep them honest. I hope ATT doesn't follow suit. I heard they are also thinking of metering too. If both do meter, the higher cap gets my business.

40G cap, I use that much in a week.

I have many many concerns about this. Especially if it is rolled out as haphazardly as Navigator.

For one the cap sizes being discussed are ridiculously low. Get serious! Let me go through the list of internet connected devices in my house -

AppleTV
DirecTV receivers
iPhone
4 Computers / OSX / Windows / Home Server
Voip
Xbox 360
Wii

We share photos, do video conferencing on the macs, use pandora, you name it!

We *regularly* rent movies, stream, and download a lot. 40 gb will NOT work. Period.

Secondly, and I asked this in another forum as well, what will happen to Johnny Household that gets owned/infected and is spewing data in and out for a month or two. Are they going to get a bill for 500$ and end up not being able to afford it and loosing it all together? F that. Not acceptable.

I hate to say it but it is time for some of the industry heavy weights to get involved lest they watch all these new services and such flounder. This includes Microsoft, Google, NetFlix, Yahoo, Apple, etc.

Funny that Charter puts in caps then magically a 60mbps tier which is cap-free emerges. A mere $140. Avail to some not all. So those who cant get it do what? Suck it? AT&T IS going to do it as well as starting policing you.
