I recently purchased one of these units on Ebay for $36.00. The seller said that it came with an operating guide, remote, composite and component video cables, audio cables, and power cord. I received the receiver today and it came with everything except the operating guide and remote. This is a refurbished unit and I purchased it for my older Sony 34" HDTV-ready set in my basement. Without the remote I cannot autoprogram the channels. Does anybody have a remote for this unit? Does anyone know of any universal remotes that will work with this unit. I was pretty upset that it arrived without the remote and I let the "powerseller" Lucky Dog Bargain on EBay know about it even though EBay would not let me give him a negative review. Thanks in avance for your help. I was hoping to watch SuperBowl XLIII in HD with my friends in my basement.

I would recommend picking up a logitech harmony, they have various models ranging in price and features but should all be able to control your box. Should work fine for you and if it is not your cup of tea, take it back, AFTER the game :)

Check Amazon.com for Harmony 520 They have it on Sundays (I bought one this Sunday after the SB)  from time to time for $39.99. Amazing control and with Next Generation remote extender it can be used as a RF control.

I did just that. I bought a Logitech Harmony One remote at Circuit City. I got it for 40% off! Too bad that Circuit City is going out of busiess, but what a great deal for me! The remote was very easy to setup using the software. It is really cool to be able switch back and forth between watching tv and waching a movie--all from one remote. I got to watch SuperBowl XLIII--what a great game! I'm a Steelers fan :)

Do you mind letting us know what the 40% price came to?  I was thinking of upgrading to an RF version of a Harmony, so knowing the price at CC would help me determine if I should try to get one that way or keep looking for the best price online.  I saw a refurb online for $199 today.
