Have never had a reply from them in the many emails sent in the past year or so.
After all we're too smart to matter to them, they are after the idiot pansy brigade that is too afraid of this thing called WEATHER.
Maybe someday the hardy will take back the country and this will no longer be a problem.

Here's my wasted email to wtmj that will get ignored by them:
To run closings along the bottom of screen ad nauseum, which in the process disrupts our HD enjoyment is pure bush league on your part and any other station which feels the need to inform us of information that is readily avail. thru the phone or online. Chicago, and many other cities GET IT...Milw.local news DOESN'T. And we're STILL waiting  for local news in HD.....what an absolute joke! Behind the times or WHAT?

Added note: TRUE breaking news would be if I could watch an entire newscast WITHOUT seeing those words...BREAKING NEWS!    .zzzzzzz

TMJ4 has struck again.  Last night Jay Leno was in SD because TMJ4 had their little screen logo on.  The only info it gave was the time and that it was 3 degrees outside.

Thank you again TMJ4 for interrupting HD broadcasting to let me know that it was cold, at night, in January, in WI.

Losers!!!!

Wasn't it nice of WTMJ to scrap HD programs all weekend so that they could show that nice wind chill and temperature banner in the lower right hand corner 24/7.

So, WISN has the ability to superimpose HD weather graphics, but they choose not to use it.  Here's what you would have seen tonight, if you weren't too busy dancing:

Not only are the only station that feels the need to continue weather coverage tonight for a storm that has pretty much ended, they still feel the need to drop to SD to do so.

This is so sickening.  Why bother with the upgrade if they don't plan on using it?  Why even bother when there isn't any severe weather anymore?  Why do they hate us?

Well, we know they can do HD scrollers; they use those quite a bit. However, just because those are up and running in HD doesn't necessarily mean they've upgraded ALL their graphics systems to HD. It's likely that they haven't migrated the weather closing system over to the new character generator yet for whatever reason .

Possible, but they also dropped to SD during Lost this week to alert viewers about the digital conversion.

Like I said, contempt for their HD viewers.

So question for you. Since HDtvs are digital anyway, why not put the HD feed on a 12.2 and keep the 4:3 on the 12.1? Then they can say if you want your closings tune to 12.1 with their HD ticker. Isn't that pretty simple? And wouldn't that get rid of the feel of contempt for HD viewers?

That would work, although I'd suggest keeping the HD feed on 12.1 and only activating SD 12.2 as needed.  The temporary trade off in HD picture quality would be well worth it.

Win-win.
