markcsol, I don't know what package you have or maybe you had a "special that just ended for you from TWC, but the December-due bills were the very first increase from last year we have had as TWC subs.;)

"Digital Standard" went up $4.51/month and the combined cable box/DVR fee went up $0.89/month for me, that's it, no other increases I can find while doing my bill comparisons over the past year:
That is a little more than a 2% increase and I have more than one DVR box.
-Not bad, considering TWC is adding many HD channels (finally).:D

Quote from: kevbeck122;49560Starz HD, CNBC HD, Bravo HD and Speed HD are showing up at 1836-1839 now.  They all come up with a message saying to call customer care to receive it.

Thankfully, I can access StarzHD as I have subscribed to it for years, though TWC here only is offering one of the StarzHD channels and other TWC locations carry all five of the StarzHD channels, but it's a start, thank you, TWC!;)

I just looked up the channel listing on the TWC website and they are showing all of the channels that were listed in previous posts in the 1800 range as now being available in the 500's.  After doing a comparison of my current offerings (at least the channels that I care about and not the 50 RSN's) from Directv with what TWC now offers dare I say that TWC is the better option.  D* has disappointed me in the fact that we still don't have CBS, PBS, or Travel in HD.  Unfortunately, despite all of my best efforts OTA for CBS and PBS has been unreliable at best on a calm day and unwatchable on windy days.  Am I the only one who is considering jumping back to TWC after making the switch?  After doing a little research the cost difference is pretty negligible.

Uverse is unavailable in your area?

My guess would be that is true.  Uverse coverage is still spread very far and thin.  Some of us can't even get DSL service. Such as myself.  And no, I don't live in the middle of no where, I live in Racine, right by the Racine airport.

The only reason I stopped at looking at Directv is that TWC offers me CBSHD and CWHD, something I cannot get at my location with an antenna and I want an all-dish solution, anyway. Now that TWC offers SciFiHD and USAHD among many others, why switch at all, unless you want to buy(lease) your HD DVRs?

FYI: The TWC website is showing StarzHD, CNBC, SpeedHD and BravoHD with 500 channel numbers on their site now, but I cannot tune to those channels yet.
-That is a first for TWC locally, as it always in the past been delivering the HD channels and then...the website is updated.:D
-Wonder when the actual HD channels will be accessible as so numbered?
-Additionally, when will the balance of the HD channels be available (The Weather Channel HD, Planet GreenHD, etc.) this month?:(

khafferkamp

stz hd and speed hd are now available in kenosha

cnjbucks

Ditto in Waukesha, speed hd and starz hd are available.

gparris

Yes, StarzHD and SpeedHD (wow, it is so far away into the 500-channel numbering for location).

But, BravoHD and CNBCHD are both still in "test mode" and unavailable in the 1800's.:(

-As far as other upcoming HD channels TWC mentioned, The Weather Channel HD and PlanetGreenHD are nowhere to be found (yet)

Danno321

How about Fox Business HD and Weather Channel HD?

aaron

PlanetGreenHD is showing up in my SageTV guide on channel 521 and The Weather Channel HD is showing up on 503, but I can't tune either channel. I don't know if that means they are forthcoming or if Sage's EPG data source is wrong.

Channel 503 looks open for use, as 502 is always used for special events PPVHD.
I am surprised that TBSHD was never setup for channel number 503 to match the analogue channel 3, but it looks with the newest HD channel additions, locally at least, do not follow any sort of matchup anymore.

So it looks like your SageTV has matched up the numbers before as CinemaxHD is 513, StarzHD 514 and so on, why not 503 for the The Weather Channel HD and 521 for Planet Green HD (as you had given before)?

Some of us that can get into the diagonostic screen can may find these last two HD channel additions in the 1800's testing range again (possibly), along with CNBC HD and BravoHD, still in "test mode".
Although next week and the following week are shorter weeks due to the holidays, maybe these last 4 HD channels planned will finally appear.:D

EDIT: 1831 is showing MLB (an SD digital channel) and 1832 is showing Sprout (another SD digital channel), along with 1837 for CNBC HD and 1838 for BravoHD right now, but no access is available yet.

i was on twc (Time Warner cable)s website under channel notifications southeastern wi and saw this

"The new services listed below cannot be accessed on CableCARD-equipped Unidirectional Digital Cable Products purchased at retail without additional, two-way capable equipment:

Weather HD(we knew about that) , Bravo HD(we knew about that), CNBC HD(we knew about that), Planet Green HD(we knew about that), ESPNU HD(just saw this one) , MLB Network HD(we knew about that)."

has anyone else heard anything about more HD lately

Sparkman87

FYI about a Time Warner system in Manhattan that is adding 57 HD channels:

The BravoHD and CNBC HD channels are still unavailable in the testing mode, along with MLB (nothing showing it being HD, though).

The TWC website was updated showing BravoHD and CNBC HD as channels in the grid, then TWC updated it again this week, removing the channel numberings:
It must have been a mistake or some technical problem for them.:huh?:

-My guess is that the last 6 HD channels mentioned (above) are to be added sometime in the next week or so, depending on TWC resolving some issues, whatever these are.
