Quote from: aaron;49440Last night those three new channels showed up in my SageTV channel lineup, as well as CinemaxHD (513), StarzHD (514), GRNHD (521, not sure what that channel is though), FXHD (535), and Lifetime Movie Network HD (565). I don't know if it's a mistake or if those are coming soon, I haven't had a chance to check on my main STB yet. Anyone else seeing those?

Glad to see another SageTV user here!

They were added to mine, and it completely hosed my recordings for today and part of last night.  Half the channels are active on one cable box, the other half are not (doing a reboot on both now)

So for most of the day SageTV has been recording the wrong shows (trying to switch to a channel that doesnt exist and there for forced to stay on the previous channel)

edit: after a reboot of the cable boxes, looks like the following channels are now active and live in the 500 range:  USAHD, SCIFI HD, Travel Channel HD  I don't understand their placement of SciFI at 562 though, most people stop once they range the PBS channels and may never even discover SciFIHD without a major announcement from Timer Warner.  Luckily with SageTV I can put it in a more logical channel number

I just started using Sage a few weeks ago. I used MythTV for a long time but I was having a hell of a time getting it to work with my HD Homerun. I tried SageTV and the HDHR was up and running really easily. That fact combined with TWC finally starting to add some HD channels, and a really good price on the Hauppauge HDPVR which will let me record all of the HD channels, convinced me to make the switch.

Huh, I thought something was up with my HDPVR or that maybe the IR blaster had gotten unstuck from the box because I noticed the same thing earlier today checking on recordings from work. I'll have to fix the channel lineup I guess.

Yes, that was me.  I saw USAHD added and went to look for SCIFI, stopped when I got to NGCHD.  Thanks for reminding me its 562.

Rebooted both of my boxes and the new channels are there, but not the other ones that showed up on my HTPC. It appears that the HDHomeRun, which is a QAM tuner, picked them up, because that is the only channel lineup I see them in. The HDHomerun sees all of the channels, but can only tune the ones in clear QAM. The fact that it is detecting those others tells me that TWC is in the process of adding them. Who knows how long it will take, but it's exciting to know there are 5 more channels coming (even though two of them will be subscription only, Cinemax and Starz).

What does TWC have in clear QAM these days besides the locals?

Nothing but the locals. The rest of the channels show up on the tuner, but you can't play them.

I wish they would just map the channel to its original number, like DirecTV does.  IE: SciFi would be at 55.. HD would replace the analog.

I suppose that wouldn't work too well though, since they seem to only deploy HD boxes now (or am I wrong?).  People with 4:3 sets would need to zoom into 4:3 material to get rid of the black box.

It would be nice if they would have mapped them all like they started to, with a 5 infront of the analog channel number.  But they seemed to screw that up as time went on.

Has anyone heard whether or not Charter Communications is planning on adding any more HD programming?  They're really slipping behind their competitors in the amount of channels they offer.

Yeah they are defintely due for a reshuffle, especially since SciFiHD & TravelHD are hiding after the SD MPTV subs.

Starz HD, CNBC HD, Bravo HD and Speed HD are showing up at 1836-1839 now.  They all come up with a message saying to call customer care to receive it.

What are HD subs up to in Milwaukee?  I think at last count it's about 45 HD channels.  Good to see TWC finally getting up to pace with this.

Having all these new hd channels is great.  By my count, there are now 37 "free" hd channels offered by time warner.

However, I don't know about anyone else, but my cable bill has gone up the past 2-3 months in a row now, and I'm thinking it's because of them adding all the hd channels.  I'm now paying $117 a month for digital cable, road runner internet, and hd dvr service, which is pretty ridiculous.

Does anyone know if time warner plans on offering a hd only package?  I would love it if i could only get the hd channels at a cheaper price than digital cable, as there are now only about 3 or 4 non hd channels i still watch, and I'm sure they would end up on hd eventually.
