Still no NFL Network on TWC?

I can't believe this. I went online to help my mom find out what channel the NFL Network was on her TWC box (go Steelers!) and I come to find out they STILL don't carry it? I could have sworn I heard about them adding it to their lineup last year. I must be mistaken?

Boy, am I glad I have DirecTV. There really is no comparison.

NFL Network is on the list for negotiated channels.  I don't know if it will be put on the Standard Tier or the optional Digital Sports package.  The channel that you might be thinking of Steve is The Big Ten Network. which was added to standard service as well as an HD feed.

I am totally with TWC on this one...the NFL is asking way too much money for a channel that offers next to nothing in return...what do they show a year, 10 games total?

Pitt vs Cinn....that is a game that is certain to cause lots of people to fall asleep early tonight.  Look at the bright side..they will be more productive at work tomorrow.

UncleMeat

It is totally worth it for the replays through the week (30 minute condensed games).

Well if the Badgers go to the Insight Bowl (which is a likely destination at this point), wait for when people figure out the game is on NFL Network.

I know NFL Network made a deal with Time Warner to show the game in NYC when Rutgers played in the Texas Bowl (also covered by NFL Network) a couple of years ago, but it could get interesting.

If you're a football fan it offers alot. 10 live games.

I DVR'd  the Packers Bears 1985 game at Lambeau last week. This one was no 30 min replay either. Full game as it aired on CBS that day. No "Foxbox", no down and distance, no first down line, no sound effects Just the "CBS Chalkboard".

It was actually refreshing to watch an entire game with a clean screen.

Where else can you watch an entire night of NFL Follies? Those programs are great! or America's Game, Another great series.

Five replay's of last weeks games without all the dead time between plays. You can either choose to watch the 30 min replay or the Two hour replay.

I'm no fan of Golf or Tennis, Why, oh Why, do we have to have Full time channels dedicated to those "Sports"? Same argument. Of course I can't live without the  Speed channel. :D

To each his own.

None of you guys work in sales...still have not convinced me to change my vote.

As I told one of my friends...if I want to see a game on the NFL network I will go out and watch it somewhere.

Sorry...your opinions are way in the minority as to the quality of the NFL Network, though I think TWC and the NFL could do maybe a pay per view thing for the Thursday night games...?????

It's frustrating to still be shutout.

At least the MLB network won't have this problem.

agreed

mlb is just less of a money whore than the nfl...

Actually, I do work in Sales and you're not buying because of price. You have a cheaper alternative available to you and you can take advantage of it.

The service I sell is not the cheapest date in town, never has been never will be.

I guess that makes us money whores. :huh?:

There are those who buy based on quality instead of price and the reverse is true also.

Which of those opinions is in the minority?

Most of our customers are price conscience but, also are aware that you get what you pay for. A majority of our service is a capitol expenditure for our commercial customers and a major expense for homeowners.

If someone decides to choose another firm to do business with we try to find out why. If we get the business we also ask why.

Right now TWC feels that the NFL Network is not worth the price. Their opinion is in the minority. If you ask their Subs, I'd bet overall you'd get a different opinion.

I wouldn't bet on that.

There won't be an issue with MLB network because Time Warner has a stake in it.

When you have some statistical data to show this please share. It is funny how every other major carrier has the NFL Network yet their rates are not *higher* and in some cases are lower than TWCs.
