Through November 13th, from 1 AM until 4:45 AM (although last night they cut it off early), WLS-DT will test their digital signal on physical channel 7 (which is where they'll be after February in 2009) each night. See if you can get it...if you are south of Milwaukee or away from the analog low-power 7 you have up there. They will be broadcasting at their full post-transition allocated power of 4,800 watts (4.8 kw) from 1600' up Sears Tower.

Why can't they leave it on 52? I like it there, I have a better chance of getting it.

:(

All stations from channel 52 and higher must move to channel 51 or lower on February 17th, since channels 52-69 will be used for other purposes.

That would include WVTV ch. 18 who's DTV is on Ch. 61.  They will probably be testing DTV on Ch. 18 sometime soon before Feb. 17th.  It would mean taking analog 18 off the air during those times.

Only Jimboy can actually tell us about that since he would be the one doing those tests.

They have already done that on a couple Sunday nights recently.  Not sure if this is why though...
