When is 58 going to wise up and reach an agreement with DTV? The Packer game is unwatchabe on my plasma tv. Thank go I only watch 58 once or twice a year when the packers are on. Otherwise I don't even know that 58 exists.{fart}

Get a better antenna.

Perfectly watchable in Franklin with a Channelmaster 4228.
Also had it on in the garage with an old 13" tv using a Zenith DTT-901 Coupon box. I had a set of bunny ears on that one without any problems.

Good game though!

GREAT GAME!!! :)

I LOVE when 58 gets a Packer game... NBC's 1080i is so much crisper than Fox's 720p.

Hate to sound like Grandpa, but there are a bunch of us who've been using an antenna for almost a decade.. before TWC, DirecTV, or Dish were even considering sending through a local digital signal.

Where are you located, cigarsmkrwi?  If you're in Kenosha, or Whitewater, or Kohler, then you're kinda stuck if you can't have an outodoor antenna.

But all it took for me was $14 for a Radio Shack double bowtie indoor antenna... hidden in my living room behind a plant, so I (and more importantly, my WIFE) never even know it's there. And I'm in Jackson.

Ch 58 is CBS, Not NBC.  The other chance you get for a CBS Packer game is Dec 7th when Houston is at GB.

Ugh... Alzheimer's moment. It's only been ten years since NBC carried the AFC games on Sunday. :huh?:

I actually prefer the smoothness of the 720p presentation on Fox.  Admittedly, I'm very sensitive to pixelation, but it's very distraction to see the pictures on both 58 and 4 break into tiny boxes each and every time that the camera pans or there's some fast action on the screen.

How much of that is due to the format, and how much is due to multicasting is up for debate, but if and when 4 and 58 drop their subchannels, it'll be fun to do a comparison.

The best 1080i I've ever seen was on 18-1 when the Packer pre-season games were on in August. Didn't see any tiling or blocking during fast pans and had a razor sharp image. Beats 720p hands down. Of course we will never see that again since 4 & 58 have to multicast.  :bang:

I have my TV and Tivo set to do everything in 720p, I cannot stand 1080i, but that's a debate that has been done to death.

Anyway, I really don't enjoy games on 58.  Phil Simms is just not a pleasure to listen to as a color guy.  For a QB, his knowledge of the game seems really limited... I used to think it was just his style of broadcasting, but even on Inside the NFL, he comes off the same way.  Nantz is an acceptable play-by-play guy, but I'm not in love with him either.
