I did a new scan for channels today on my tv so I could pick up the new 36 channels that moved from channel 10 a few weeks ago. My Sony picked up an 8.13 and an 8.14, but when trying to tune to them I get a message about not being able to decode the channel.

Does anyone know what they are?  I'm guessing it was just some interferrance in the area that came across as a digital TV channel.

BTW, I'm in Germantown, attic antenna pointed back toward Milwaukee.

The first thing I thought of when I saw channel 8 was WOOD TV in Grand Rapids. From Germantown aimed at Milwaukee, you're kind of in the general direction of GR. Your scan may have detected a bit of a signal and added it to the list, but it wasn't strong enough to lock in on when you tried to watch it. However, WOOD's subchannels are 8.1 (NBC), 8.2 (My Network), and 8.3 (Weather). I'm not sure why those would show up as 8.13 and 8.14, so that may not be the case.

I get the same channels in Tosa, little passive antenna pointing north in my living room.

I did a rescan today and the 8.13 and 8.14 are gone. I'll keep trying every few days and see if I can find something consistant.
