Tivo Options for HD

So even though neighbors on the next street over had TWC I was not able to get it.

Called today - and finally TWC is on my street, but they tell me it's pretty much useless because of SDV and incompatibility with cablecards.

Verizon Fios is not available anywhere in WI
AT&T stupidly ran copper instead of fiber to my CO, so no chance for u-verse.

I don't think any dishes work with Tivo for HD.

...  SO, did I miss something or is there no options for HD with Tivo right now ??

That's why we don't have an HD TiVo.  Wife keeps suggesting an upgrade, but I keep trying to explain to her it would only be OTA in HD if we did it.

Yep pretty much out of luck right now with Tivo aside from using OTA for your locals. There is hope of the Tivo adapter/resolver to work with SDV but I have not seen anything yet on when/what will work/how etc. It is a crap shoot..

There is a new DirecTV Tivo unit in the works for late 09.
