Hi everybody,

I was bored this morning so I started typing in channel numbers in the 1800's and came across the following placeholders.  I don't know if they will be making changes to these. None of them say they are HD, so I wonder if this is SDV related.

1835 - HBO Signature
1836 - HBO Family West
1837 - HBO Comedy West
1838 - HBO Zone West
1839 - HBO Latino West

1841- Showtime West
1842 - Showtime 2 West
1843 - Showtime Showcase West
1844- Showtime Extreme

1845 - Disney
1846 - Food
1847 - CNN
1848 - HGTV

1850 - Encore
1851 -  Encore Love
1852 - Encore Mystery

These might be the onDemand version of the channels.  Check the onDemand and see if it lines up.

after reading this info I was curious so I checked the 1800's to see that is there...

I noticed MGM HD and a few other new channels that were new to me...

interesting...perhaps there is more HD in the near future?

I wouldn't get too excited yet.  I just got my bill today, and there is no mention of any new channels.  Infact, they are taking one away, it says Mojo will be gone as of 12/1.

And yes, I know that is not any choice of TW's.  I know Mojo is shutting down.  And yes I've heard the rumors that many divisions are replacing Mojo with MGM HD.  But if our division was, why wouldn't they advertise it along with the notice of Mojo being removed?

It would at least make me feel better about the $6.00 increase in my bill this month, even though it would be a 1 for 1 channel swap.

The best possibility is that the cable bills are printed out and sent either at the beginning of the month,  near the end of the month, or mid month depending on where you live.  (At least it used to be this way.)  Perhaps they could not print the notices about MGM HD replacing Mojo HD in time for all the billing data to be consolidated  for all subs.  Their initial notice was that Mojo would be dropping programing after 11/27.  TWC for once got ahead of themselves and was able to replace the channel before the 12/1 cease broadcasting date on the bill.

With This TV on channel 201 replacing the duplicate entry of Me-TV in the Guide, (ME-TV is on channel 19)  This-TV has ownership of about 4000 MGM Movie titles.  Therefore, I believe that because TWC had This TV up and running and already they had an agreement with MGM for the new HD channel. that they were able to strike a deal for MGM-HD as a quick replacement for Mojo before all the bills could be printed.
