This is off of their uplink of today. Could be made  available tomorrow.

5201(58) - WDJT [MPEG4 HD] - Echostar12 61.5W TP 09 Area 4 beam changed package flags (N)(Milwaukee, WI)

That would be great, it would give those with OTA issues a reason to use the secondary dish with all four major HD networks.;)
My understanding is that soon, Dish will offer a different dish or sat to get these local HD stations, negating the reason for two dishes, too.

But if it does really happen, will Directv offer it, too, to be competitive?:huh?:

It would be nice to know the details/real reason why the CBS 58 HD issue have gone on this long to begin with. Please keep us posted as to if it goes live on Dish! I can only hope DirecTV would not be far behind in being able to carry it.

61.5?  Does that mean I get a free service call to add another LNB and/or dish?

Oh yeah ... I forgot, have a tree in the way.  :(  Would have to be a second dish on the other end of the roof to see it.

klwillis45

If they add 58 and get it to 1 dish I'm gonna have to seriously consider switching to them and turbo hd.

Their dvr can handle 3 at a time (2 sat, 1 ota), right?

WTF!  DirecTV better add it to stay competitive!  If they don't then Jim Hall can forever (nevermind, i'd rather not get in trouble).

basshive

I agree! My frustration lies with the fact that we get zero information about the cause of the issues. It might not be Jim's fault at all but all we see are quips like "DirecTV doesn't seem interested in carrying...." So how do we even know where to place the blame..

Yes it can. Plus it can output 2 different channels to 2 different tvs (only 1 in hd). It also has a nice ota tuner.

Dish has a 1 dish solution called the Eastern Arc (ck out satelliteguys.us). It picks up 3 orbital locations, 61.5, 72? and 77? or something like that. I believe its out there and ready for installs for new customers.

Get a 722 box and the DVR Advantage package and have them add Cinemax for 1 penny for a year (with paperless billing and autopay)

I called the other day. Per the CSR, they do not have a Dish that can accomodate all 4 signals. We are on the western arc........110, 119, & 129, are our satelites.

I don't think we can switch to the eastern arc.

They do have a solution that can handle 4 satellites because I am pulling in 110, 119, 129, and off a second dish 61.5.  The 61.5 connection runs into the switch bulit into the 1000.2.  Although, I don't know about the Eastern Arc dish, that might not be setup the same (able to handle 4 signals) since it gets 3 birds for the east coast and that is all that is needed.

Milwaukee is not in this first list but Green Bay and Minneapolis are. We should not be far behind.

As tbarney says, you can get 4 sat locations with the 1000.2 dish and a side dish.

All the Milwaukee locals are currently on 61.5 so it should not take long to be able to get the eastern arc. And you only need 3 locations there with 1 dish called 1000.4. As always these things take time.

I put in a Green Bay Address, as to the 4 Major networks, and they already have CBS.

Once 58 goes live , we will probably get put on the list.

Spoke to an engineer............The uplink to Dish is correct, however, they are still deliberating.......so be patient.

Is it mere co-incidence that WDJT is attempting to get all those jets games and now appears to be close (atleast uplinked) to offering the HD version, to someone other than TWC?

Sounds plausible to me.
