Quote from: Ralph Kramden;47439The new Turbo HD packages are ONLY available to new customers.

Yes, However, it is speculated that it will be offered to existing customers in February.

Quote from: Chinatown;47442So you are saying that data is available through their receiver?, If so, I stand corrected.

Yep.  It's there.  I have a VIP722, and all the locals are there.  Including a second copy for the "satellite" feed versions if I wanted to really confuse people.  Makes using DishPass interesting.  It has more than one channel with the same show at the same time in the guide!  Best to make a "DVR" recording instead which is the default and will only record on the channel it was set up originally one.

So..........are you saying I can cancel the locals?. If so, then what about the SD version on the second TV?......It is not hooked up to the outside antenna......nor are they on the 625...................

jkane

Not sure.  I think I subscribe to the locals. I just don't watch them.

Suffice to say, you did not bother having the additional dish put up to get the limited HD locals?. Neither did I

I don't know what you are talking about!  If you are saying getting locals over the satellite for locals, then no.  I get the Over that air with an antenna and Dish provides both the guide for the locals which are in HD, and the ability to record them in HD.

I have a 1000.2  110, 119, and the crappy 129 which acts like it's about to die any day now.  Even a small amount of clouds are enough to make it cause artifacts.  A thick cloud, and there are complete drop outs.

When I upgraded to the HD service recently, I had the installer point the second dish at the 62.5 feed.  The 129 degree feed was too low to get good reception here because of trees.  I have a good shot at 62.5, and anyhow any trees there are mine, not the neighbors!
