I thought this might make for a fun thread. :) I'd like to see:

Dennis the Menace
The Patty Duke Show
The Donna Reed Show
My Three Sons (The black and white syndication package)
Mister Ed
Lassie (preferably the early seasons)
Get Smart
Dragnet (both series)
Flipper
Car 54, Where Are You?
Father Knows Best
The Monkees

I don't know if they're all available for ME-TV to pick up; but a lot of them havn't been seen on local or national TV in years.

The Addams Family is great but it's been played to death over the years on Nick At Nite and TV Land- I really don't need to see it again. Plus I think it's available on DVD.

I'd love to see Get Smart again!  It would be cool of ME-TV also aired some of the classic cartoons on Saturday morning.  I'd get up early Saturday if they ran some of the original Bugs Bunny cartoons!

I would prefer that they remove the fixed schedule.  That way I can tune in at 8PM and see something different than the prior evening at 8PM.

Quotethe original Bugs Bunny cartoons!
If it's been a while since you've seen the old Bugs Bunny cartoons, you'll be amazed at how they're now edited. Some of the funniest scenes (Bugs with Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd) have been removed to get rid of the "violence."

See...thats just not right...I grew up on the re-runs of those cartoons, I still remember my parents yelling at me because I was giggling too loud watching the Saturday morning cartoons, and I turned out semi-normal! :rof:

Gee, How about having a Sign on, and Sign Off just like the old days. WBME-TV would save a lot of electricity by going from 24/7 to about 16 hours per day and put on a Test Pattern on at 7:30am, sign on at 8:00 am with the Star Spangled Banner and likewise do the same with sign off.  Oh how I loved it when WVTV aired the film "The Lord's Prayer" on weekends showing paintings of our lord's crucifixion with a men's choir singing.

But then, not to take away the nice 24/7 old time TV classics, there is WVCY-TV which is probably the only TV station in North America who still signs off at night. When the hell are they gonna go 24/7?  Their FM is on 24/7.  Perhaps sometime after the digital transition when they are back to paying the electric bills for 1 TV transmitter instead of 2?

They'll probably never go 24/7. They're just barely scraping by with donations to keep afloat as it is. I doubt they'd want to invest in keeping the station going at 2 AM when even less people than normal would be watching it. They don't even run normal programing on the radio station during late night/early morning hours- they play music and pre-recorded messages from Vic.

They probably should have accepted CBS's buyout offer in 1994. Oh well.

I'd say its much more likely that the TV station goes off the air at some point in the future so that they can concentrate on the radio network.

I want to see "Dennis the Menace" with Jay North weekdays at 4:30pm. Maybe at 5:00 pm weekdays "Father Knows Best" starring the future Marcus Welby, M.D. and Elinor Donahue.

Chinatown

How about "Checkmate"  Very unique detective show, circa early 1960's
