Mits 55807 Power Problem

I have a Mits 55087 that when I turn on the TV it comes on for 3 sec and then turns off.  I like this TV and it is about 7 yrs old.  Did some research at it may be a power problem?  I did have the IC Convergence replaced a fews back (where the colors split into 3) but this seems different.  Any ideas?  Worth getting fixed? Any idea how much that would be?

Hey I just got the same problem with a 65807. Did you get it fixed?

It took Mitsu 2.5 months to fix it on my TV (WD65837) under the warranty. They don't have authorised center in WI, so I had to call and call them many times.
So they "fixed" it in Feb. Now this problem is back.:mad:
BTW, Mitsu extended warranty for that issue.
Only if you bought TV locally, you'll be OK. Otherwise (if you bought online) it will take some time for Mitsu to fix it. Better have a local dealer info before calling them and provide it right away.
