This thread is not cool!

Even though I know what it is now, I'm still gonna check it every time the site shows there's a new post :(

I can't believe I'm still holding out for new TWC channels.

FYI: Just got my TWC bill today (on-line) and there was no notice of any upcoming HD channel additions, only some Spanish-channels in SD based on a paid tier.:(
We may be getting SDV at the end of month, but you'd never know it, at least for now.:p

I hate how they keep all this $hit secret!  We should know what's on, what's going on with new channels and features.  More Spanish channels on an optional tier means next to nothing.  A shame that there was no other news.

How long have we had HD showcase on demand? 1102

I only noticed it on the weekend.  I know they have been misleadingly advertising it when browsing other on demand channels for the past year, but I never found it before.  You can see some of the mojo and hdnet shows on it for example.

I saw it there a couple weeks ago when I got TWC at my new place.  At my old house I never saw it.

According to engadgetHD:
"Now that a few weeks have passed since residents in Green Bay / Appleton received their last batch of newcomers, the carrier has lit up four more: CNN HD (731), Fox News Channel HD (745), Science HD (772) and Hallmark Movie Channel HD (774)."

-This means since this Wisconsin TWC location had NINE more HD channels than we have in SE (Milwaukee area) TWC, HD subs have now THIRTEEN more HD channels!:bang:

Feel shafted by your TWC Milwaukee provider?

-You should be!

If you don't like it Then go to another provider. TWC is under no obligation to offer more HD
"YOUR FREE TO CHOOSE So why be angry. There are other things in life then HD. I would more complain about poor programming,  then the lack of HD.

you ARE kidding right? :D

I would argue the lack of the programming being in HD makes it poor. You have to remember most hd fanatics will watch grass grow, and rain fall in HD quite happily which with TWC's HD offerings, seems at times that is all you can watch!

Exactly!

Not getting the 13 HD channels here is the same as taking away from one's shopping cart those items you paid for vs. the same store chain (TWC NE) in other city (Green Bay) you get more items, in this case, more HD channels.
So the pricing is the same for the same service offering, but you get less items (HD channels).

Before, when it was a TWC location outside of Wisconsin, you could say "that's Texas TWC, or that's New York TWC", but now, with thirteen fewer HD channels - here in SE Wisconsin, I wonder when Milwaukee TWC is going to match that up and go forward with those other TWC locations outside the state, too.

The holdup on TWC SE Wisconsin (Milwaukee) on those 13 HD channels that Green Bay already has is straining the subscriber relationship with TWC's better subscribers (HD subs), ones that will only wait so far before switching to another provider: Emphasis on being ABLE to switch, if at all.

I personally felt almost insulted about the lack of HD programming coming from TWC. I hated to go through all the fighting with the wife and having to change services but enough was enough, if TWC doesn't see the importance to take care of SE Wisconsin, then so be it, I'm sure it's a business decision that they will have to live with, but I don't.
So far DirecTV have been awesome and confusing!

Has their ever been an official explanation as to why TWC is NOT offering more HD content, or even more channels for that matter?  It's too vague to say that Bev Greenberg doesn't care about HD content, maybe that is true, but I think that there are other factors involved as well.  I am wondering what they are:

Is it a licensing issue with more channels?  That they can't do it because of potential problems with Navigator, while improving, still having issues on some boxes?  Today, we got about 15 useless Spanish channels on an optional service, I mean WTF is that crap?  Where's Chiller TV?  I have been waiting for that channel since its initial launch on Direct TV.  How come NO cable companies even have it?

It's like TWC-Wisconsin just adds 2-3 channels every 6 months while other divisions are doubling that and tripling that in less time.  We have SDV activated and the bandwidth, so what's the hold up in little TWC techno backward Wisconsin?  Watch what happens.  TWC-Wisconsin will add 3-4 channels (at most) by the end of the year, NONE of which will be what anyone wants, than think that they have done their part for the customer for another 6 months.
