If metering is implemented here, ATT here I come.

They are basically doing it to lock out IPTV.

How about make service cheaper for those that dont use as much, as mentioned in the article, but don't limit bandwidth, just put a cap on total data usage. I could definately drop my bill to 29/mo. I still say TWC are idiots, though.

Wow; they're turning into AOL circa 1993. :bang:

Or if worst comes to worst and you have your recovery disks/back up data.  Buy a second hard drive and with your backup/recovery disks, put your data back onto it.

Looks like AT&T is considering the same thing:

Well, then who ever with the largest cap.

Let's hope EarthLink doesn't follow suit. There are not that many options in Milwaukee area.

I would assume metering would apply to Earthlink also, since it uses TWC's network.

I know EL uses TW's network and billing. I have been switching between those 2 for years. But, they are a different entity.

It wn't be long before the internet charges you for sending out email at 50 cents each. All the profit will go to the United States Post Office.

That rumor never seems to die.:)

I think USPS did considered some sort of certified email delivery for a fee.
