Is "Brewers Live" on DirectTV?

Is  the "Brewers Live" pre and post game show available on DirectTV?

I DirectTV many years ago, and they used to switch away to FSN Minnesota as soon as the game is over. They would even switch before it was over sometimes. (Extra Innings)

Yes they do show the pre and post game.

Yeah we used to get no pre or post game shows when FSN was a shared network.  Now that it's full time FSN-WI it's all good.

How does one get FS-Wisconsin with DTV?  I am looking to sign up with them in the very near future and want to make sure I make the right package choice.

I was looking at the "Plus HD DVR" package, and on their "package" page they show "FSN".  So I'm assuming that would be it, but I wanted to double check (since I rarely trust anyone in customer service).

EDIT - does that also include FSN-HD?

robster1970

I have that same package. FSN-Wisconsin is on 642 and HD is 642-1.

I have just the basic HD package and it's included.

Yes, but it is still NOT a 24/7 channel.  It only shows Bucks and Brewers games, not the full FSN-WI lineup that appears on cable systems.

Don't know why and it drives me nuts.  I believe it is the only or one of the only regional sports nets DTV does not carry fulltime.

vegasvic

I don't really know why FSN-WI isn't on full time but all of the FSN programming is carried on  the other FSN channels, all of which are available on DTV.

Youth Minister

I would agree - to a point.  MOST, but not ALL shows are available, but WIAC (state schools like Whitewater, Stevens Point, etc.) have a game of the week that isn't carried elsewhere.  Same with any locally produced coaches shows, etc.  All the national FSN content can still be seen elsewhere.

I'm still curious as to why DTV thinks we are a part of the Minneapolis and Chicago markets (we get both feeds for our "regional" sports network), especially when they obviously have plenty of bandwidth now and have the channel (642 and 642-1) dedicated just to FSN-WI.  It's the ONLY issue I have with DTV since they seem to have gotten most of the bugs worked out of their DVR's

I actually watched a lot of content on the Time Warner Sports channel as well. Got to see a lot of UWM and Marquette games, as well as some interesting fights (or was that a Bay View / Bradley Tech basketball game?).

It is tough to give that up, so if I could at least get some FSN-Wisconsin local programming, it might be a fair trade for more HD.

I assume Dish Network is the same as DirectTV?

Does this imply that  directv 642 and 642-1 only show brewers and bucks games?  So you don't get "The best damn sports show." each night, or during football season Pac-10 and ACC games on FSN-HD like you do on TWC?  On TWC there's always something on FSN, and then for brewers, bucks, and the occasional other sporting event (college sports, etc) it shows up on FSN-HD as well.

Correct.  642/642-1 is just a part-time channel at this time.  We also get 641 (Foxsports North - Minnesota-based) for the 'national' stuff.

vegasvic

You can watch Best Damn... and all of the other shows on one of the other FSN channels that come in the sports pack.
