I called TW to cancel service.  In the back of my mind, I was hoping they would offer me a deal I couldn't pass up.  

When they asked if there was "anything they could do to retain me as a customer", I hesitated and said that I didn't think so.  I then waited for the discounted offers and promotions to come flying my way.  The deals never came and the lady very professionally thanked me and gave me the drop off locations for my equipment.   I will admit, I was expecting 20 minute wait times that turn into dial tones.  I expected to be passed between two or three departments.  I was ready to battle and to draw the line in the sand on behalf of all Milwaukee consumers being overcharged for cable service.  In the end, it was very anti-climatic.  The entire call took less than 5 minutes.  

They did offer Roadrunner at $29.99 a month.  I think I'm going to keep that because I'm not very familiar with DSL.  

At the end of the day, I've decided to try to go OTA and not have any cable through the summer.   Being a first time homeowner, I think I'll find plenty of productive things to do with my nights/weekends.  

We'll see how it goes :)
