I've been considering switching to D TV from TWC for a while now but the fact that I live in an apartment was slowing me down.  It seems that I'm pretty close to talking the land lord into letting me do it.  Before I go through all the trouble I need some info.  I know that the dish has to be pointed toward the southwest(ish) irection.  Does anybody know at what degrees southwest I need a clear view?  There are a few trees that might be a problem so before I really try to convince the landlord I'd like to make sure D TV is something I'd realistically be able to do.

I have used satfinder from http://www.arachnoid.com/satfinder/ pretty successfully. I deployed the D* 3lnb dish up north without any problems. The slimline 5lbs will be much more difficult though.
