Just spent over an hour on the phone with RR support and finally got to Level 3 in the national operations center.  They have an OUTAGE, speedtests work fine but you'll find uploads to sites, servers, even their own email servers is impacted. This has been going on over 4 days and they haven't pinpointed the router failure yet.

I will be asking for a big credit.

The only way they'll really get on the ball is if everyone calls in and reports upload problems.   Don't waste time with them troubleshooting, just report that the problem is widespread and their Tier 3 support knows about it and hammer them.

There is something definitely wrong with the upload speed.

Never minded, I have my torrent running.

Just curious, are you using their DNS server?

Finally, I guess it is not just me! I even went as far a stopping a couple of computer stores shopping for a new box thinking it was on my end.

Oddly enough, everything seems a bit more robust this morning (sun 930a).

This is working right?

RR Turbo Not so turbo this morning.

Also getting many failures to connect this morning.

Thanks TWC!

I haven't had any issues with mine.. though I think biz class goes through different routes.. or that's what TWC says.  The only thing I've noticed is that the Germantown server on speedtest.net has been pretty slow the past couple of days.

Germantown server might the closest, but not the fastest. I always use the Chicago server.

I have not have any kind of problem lately. Try switching DNS server to see if that helps. I have never used RR's DNS server. I'm using OpenDNS right now and if that slows downs. I use Level3's.

Spoke too soon!!! A ton of drops and missconnects this afternoon. Guess I need to do a little DNS research this afternoon.

FWIW, changing the DNS on my router to - 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 WORKS AWESOME!

Reading some messages on other boards pinpoints the problem to a a recent change from Roadrunner to monetize the misdirects (typing Yahoooo.com, instead of Yahoo.com), quickly overloading its DNS infrastructure.

Anyway, about a weeks worth of frustration fixed in two minutes...

As of 11am today they finally fixed it.  I'm able to get upload speeds and send attachments and use FTP servers again...about time.
