Regarding graphics capabilities of gaming consoles.........
The graphics on my Xbox and 360 pretty much blow the Wii out of the water but like others here have stated, the Wii is about gaming together in the same room.
I wouldn't expect the Wii to compete with Gears of War but it's not intended to.
So far, the gaming that we have done on the Wii has been a tremendous amount of fun. PC gaming is always going to look better than consoles but then again, your gonna lay out some serious cash for the newer and better graphics cards which alone cost more than most gaming consoles.
I've had numerous gaming rigs and consoles over the years and the Wii is the ONLY one that has my whole family getting together to enjoy a game. That in itself is worth the purchase.

Just snagged a Wii this morning from Sears.com. Regular price $249.99 plus $6.00 shipping. I was at Best Buy Thursday and an employee told me that all the Best Buys  were getting some in this Sunday. I was at the Mayfair Best Buy. I was all set to go and stand in line for 3 hours ( the employee told me I should get there at least 2 hours before they open which is 10.00am). Gladly pay the $6.00 shipping so I don't have to stand outside and freeze my ass off!! But for those of you looking to buy one ................................... GOOD LUCK!!!
