Quote from: steve053;44750If your wireless routher has an ethernet port(s), then absolutely.

I have a wireless linksys routher w/ 4 ports.  I have the router hardwired to two switches in the "office" for various computers and printers that are networked.  I have a wireless buffalo router hacked to act as a wireless bridge.  The buffalo bridge is in the living room for the HR20 and my A3.  DOD (at least the SD material) is just fine over wireless.

Good! Sound like my weekend project is about to begin. I had my wireless set up by CC originally.  A few months ago I lost the connection to my only networked computer. (Its the only thing I had networked). Haven't had the time to fix it.  One thing that has been happening is everytime I reboot the computer I lose the internet connection unless I unplug the router and plug it back in. Could this be a sign that my router is bad? It happens every single time the computer boots up.

Not sure why your computer is not reconnecting after a reboot.  You could try a new router, but I'd keep the receipt.

Another success!!   I looked at the back of the router and saw that the modem was connected in the wrong jack. (Kids!)(or maybe the TWC employee?). Rebooted the computer and wala the DVR showed up on the network. Turned on Direct on demand and see its working. Dang it feels good to fix a problem like this! :)

Easy fixes are the best!  Glad you got this one working too.

Next "job" is to enable media sharing of pix, music, and video from your pc to your HR2x.  I have XP and WMP11 sussfully sharing pix and music.  Not so much luck w/ the video.  Next weekend will play w/ TVersity.  DBSTalk has some pretty good succuss stories w/ TVersity and non MPEG2 files.

Great! Glad you volunteered to be the guinea pig. I downloaded TVersity and haven't a clue how to use it. Anxiously await your feedback! :)  I'll be right behind you following your lead.

I have the HR20, it stores only 25 calls.  You have to clear them out or it will not display the calls when it gets full.

Using the first post from DBS talk http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=75287&highlight=tversity

I got Tversity up and running on my DVR and let me tell you this is very cool!! It adds a category to the menu of the DVR called "Music, Photos & More"

Mine still works w/ 25 calls in the queue.  It deletes the oldest call and correctly displays the new call.

I have an HR20-100 on the national release.

That's interesting.  I would think it would delete the oldest one but mine isn't doing that.
