Mine rebooted last night while watching an HD channel as well.  Something (not good) must be going on.

Anyone still getting reboots? I've had more in the last 2 weeks than the entire year before it.  I'm thinking my box might be bad, but I don't want the Navigator software, so I don't want to swap it out for a new one.

Yeap same here, at least once or twice a week now.

Yes, my latest reboot was Sunday while watching live TV.  Just rebooted without warning.  That with no instant replay with eSATA drive is making me think about DirectTV.

Mine rebooted again last night during the Wmich, Cmich game, hello DTV!!

I really miss ReplayTV.  Box always warned when it was going into maintenance mode, commercial skip, telnet access, system message log.  Oh and a GUI that blows Passport's away.

Sometimes during the day, I get a HD channel that either does not come in or it is heavily pixelated, especially Universal HD.
Rebooting comes and goes with a particular DVR at a particular time of the day.
One "likes" to do it in the late afternoon, while the other one, late at night.
If you "push" it too hard, it reboots, like going though the guide too fast, then adding recordings and not letting it "catch up".
Everyone has their own horror stories.

My old legacy Pioneer box used to reboot like 2x a week.

I thought that this was because of the limited memory of the Pioneer box, which I had for about 6 years with no problems.

Got an "All in One Package" and I am very happy with it, as well as DVR service. (still running Passport.)

I DID have a "No Data" problem in the IPG between 11pm-12am just before the end of Daylight Savings Time and for about 2 days after DST.  In checking with other TWC forums, this seemed to be a national head-end problem for people throughout the United States.  Things seem to be OK now.

I haven't had a reboot problem with this DVR.  Although I did try a reboot to get the 11PM-12am guide data back  twice at the time with no luck.  It turned out to be a head-end issue.  There are only two issues that I have noticed with this DVR:

1.) Sometimes movie channels will be missing when browsing by Theme and selecting MOVIES, although they do appear under their separate theme categories.

2.) Channel 14 has been a dead channel for years, (at least 15.)  This dead channel has existed in all the boxes we have had, and we have had cable for over 20 years. It's supposed to be reserved for Public Access but there is nothing on it and when I go to it, the box will momentarily freeze up.  It is as if the channel data has been so old and never updated, that the box doesn't know what to do when it gets to it.  In scrolling up to Channel 15 (the ION Network) that channel will sometimes come up dead but only after channel 14 does its freeze up.  To solve this problem, go to any active channel and punch in channel 15 without doing a channel up/down, or go to channel 16 and than hit the channel down button and Channel 15 will come in fine.

TWC needs something on Channel 14 to prevent the freeze up or it should be removed from the line-up.  This channel is just dead air and its clogging the system.  I am sure that this is a head-end issue and not a box issue.  Not sure how TWC would fix a channel that never broadcasts anything.

I'm in a different area outside of Milwaukee.  We are Public Access on channel 14.  I think CSpan is either channel 8 or 99 here.  Strange that in suburban areas, sometimes you will get 1-3 channels that are different than the mainstream.

I also have had reboots on the SA8300HD. Mine is a couple of years old and I have an external 500GB Seagate external HD.

Yes mine has been rebooting alot also.  It really ticks me off when I'm watching something and it's recording something else because I lose those 5 minutes of that program, in addition to having to change the aspect ratio again if I'm on a sd channel because it defaults to letter boxing.

I am still experiencing random reboots, but not as often.   Anyone else?  Is my SA8300HD faulty?
