Interesting note about Sinclair WCGV and WVTV domain names

So Sinclair let the wcgv24.com and wvtv18 domain names lapse awhille back when they switched to thattvwebsite.com. Now they're apparently dropping the thattvwebsite.com 2-in-1 website idea (a wise decision in my opinion). The new sites are:

http://www.my24milwaukee.com/

and

http://www.cw18milwaukee.com/

which is fine and all but why didn't they hang on to the non-network-specific wcgv24.com and wvtv18.com domain names in case one (or both) of those networks go belly-up in the near future? They could always have had them both re-direct to the network-specific domain names.

I noticed that Jimboy has the WCGV-DT and MyTV-HD24 in blue on the sidebars during SD programming but goes away during HD programming.

I wonder when he added that? Had to be recent.

I wonder if he plans to do the same for CW18?
