All I have to do is come up with $397 (per the Directv website) for 2 HD DVRs and one HD std. box (same as I have now with TWC) and I'll be done with TWC and ditch them after a successful installation with Directv.
Directv's special promo ends in a few days for free movie channels and $120/year for programming...tax refund is not here yet.
Maybe Directv will have another promo after that...can't seem to get them to do it for $297 (free HD box)...oh well.

I spoke to a salesperson at TWC today and supposedly we're getting these channels tomorrow, Feb 29th.  He also confirmed that we were supposed to get these channels on the 19th but there was a glitch that prevented that from happening.  Lets not hold our breath.

I don't know really what is going on anymore - TWC Wisconsin's actions (or lack of) seem to be getting worse:
-Lack of HD channel additions here vs. every other cable location including TWC-serviced areas (see engadgethd, whose parent is Time Warner).
-One or two HD channels added here at a time (see 2007) vs. the 5 or more at a time at all other TWC locations (at the same price levels).
-Navigator and its glichy and the slow mess that it is as of today.
-Or TWC's constant lies and deceptions like the 19th of this month with these HD channels
(Remember that 10+ HD channel "story" from October?)

-My neighbours who have HDTVs are getting sick and tired of TWC for their HD channel provider, so much they are rallying around that installer, soon, (the one mentioned from Antioch), to see if they can do a DirectvHD install in all their homes all-at-once:
- Just to show TWC Wisconsin how much they dispise them for all their crap.

I woke up this am at 6 and the cable box was stuck at a partical boot screen so I got excited thinking maybe we got updated and might have the 2 new channels. Did a full reboot, no dice....... just a f'd up box this am. awesome.

Honestly, now, leprechaunshawn,  I am thinking (just thinking) that you are either one of two things:

1) A TWC employee trying to "calm us down" from leaving TWC altogether - and TWC knows we will if we can.

2) You are a "pawn" for some sick TWC employee with your announcements of HD channels that never appear once again and again.

We all have for many times heard from TWC telemarketers, only to find out that HD channel additions were bogus
- and the HD channel rollout was for another TWC location.:p

Keep in mind that it was wireblsam who originally reported this, not leprechaunshawn.  leprechaunshawn was just reporting what he was told by a sales person.  I personally never believe sales people, their job is to spin things to get you to buy in.

Well put, I was kinda thinking the same way, because I feel this way, if they (TWC) was really going to add new channels, they probably wouldn't use you (leprechaunshawn) as a rep to get the word out. You keep guessing like this you're bound to be right one day, even a broke watch is right twice a day.

Why is everybody jumping on my back about this?  I got a magazine in the mail from TWC and on page two they claimed to be the leader in HD so I called to see how they came up with that claim.  The sales person that I spoke to told me that we were supposed to get those channels on the 19th as SOMEONE ELSE first reported on here.  He told me that there was a glitch that prevented that from happening and that were should have them friday.  I also warned everybody not to hold their breath while waiting for these channels to appear.  Lets get off my back, all I did was report what I heard from a salesperson at TWC.

The person that gave me the information did give me the launch dates of ESPN2HD, TBS HD, HGTVHD, and A&E HD (before they were announced publicly) and was correct each time.

I believe that what I was trying to do (as well as leprechaunshawn) was to relay information that we had received to a general audience, which I think is part of the reason this forum is here.

Agreed, I just want to know the names of the TWC employees, so we can quote them, making them accountable for their lies and misconceptions.

In Wisconsin, we TWC HD subs pay about the same as other TWC locations for less than half the TWC-available HD channels offered in other TWC operating areas.
-This ripoff is bad enough without being insulted with their deceptions, too.

So when it comes time to make any HD channel-availability statement, let us all as forum members, get the TWC employee names and locations:
-Make these TWC employees accountable for their mis-information-enough already!

-Then IMO, we all will see the real "truth" behind the "stories" we have been getting for so long from TWC Wisconsin.
(My bets are that much of the mis-information will disappear).

Sincerely, that is what I was trying to convey, not to "stomp" on any particular forum member, but those specific TWC employees telling us their usual mis-information:
