Do you really want an answer?  I vote for...well...they don't have to go yet.

I'm so sick of TWC deciding what is quality to me...

Quotenot some arbitrary number of channels without regard for quality

What the :huh?:

What does that mean?

And who decides?

Thanks D* for treating me like an adult.

My in-laws have D* and I have to say I consider pretty much every HD channel they get to be of quality and able to provide entertainment value.. So seriously, wtf TWC? How are they to know if we want Discovery Channel HD, FoodTV HD, etc. Sometimes I am shocked by the things that are said by TWC.... truely shocked....

There are many HD channels already available and being watched in other TWC subscriber areas in the country, just not here in Wisconsin.
While the HD channel count is no where near DirectvHD's selection, the quantity of HD channels that TWC offers/has numbers double what they have in those other TWC locations vs. what we have currently here in Wisconsin, even if you count only those so-called "Free HD" channels.

Yes, I have actually really enjoyed the Boston Bruin games in HD when they replay them at 10 PM on NESN HD.

I bet TWC doesn't think thats a quality channel, but I do.

Personally I'm sick off hearing about all these HD channels we are gonna get from TWC. I think its too little to late. They will be saying that for years, and never chance up to the Dish boys.

Folks, it is a local TWC thing, not national for what you can get from TWC as to availablity of HD channels.
If TWC Wisconsin, which includes the Milwaukee metro areas, doesn't want to add what other TWC locations can offer from corporate, then it won't.
TWC corporate can and will offer 53 or even 100 HD channels
(as these become available : See Directv for availabilty;) )
-But that does not mean TWC Wisconsin will ever offer them at any price structure or "tier".

TWC locally does not see what I see everytime I assist with my family's HT A/V consults or setups:
Once the sub leaves you, they (probably) will not come back once the dish is up and the sat box is installed/lease setup fee paid for.

Most of them are happy with their newly-installed sat setups from day one and as more go to sat or even U-Verse for more HD channels, TWC will permanently lose out to them, no matter how many HD channels locally they try to deliver, as they play "catch-up".

TWC on a roll in San Antonio: three more HD channels added

For the second time in the span of a week, Time Warner Cable is upping the HD ante down in South Central Texas. Shortly after subscribers in the area received Weather Channel HD and FOX Business HD, along comes word that TLC HD, The Science Channel HD and Animal Planet HD have now surfaced on the EPG. If our abacus is operating correctly, we're counting 45 high-definition channels for you folks now. Got any to you wouldn't mind loaning out? [Disclosure: Engadget is part of the Time Warner family]

Guess we're in the wrong TWC market
