I'm thinking of an antenae

I am pretty new here so I dont know much about HD except for the fact that I dont get enough channels through TWC.  (DTV is not an option because of trees that arent mine to cut down)

I am thinking of just picking up an indoor antenae from Best Buy this afternoon before the snow really starts flying.  How many channels can I realistically expect to receive.  I live near downtown Hartland on top a hill with quite a few trees around.  Any help is appreciated.
