We currently only use ours for legal ID's over HD programming and EAS crawls.
I'm sure in the future we will find many more uses for it.

Heh - I was going to say, I knew 18/24 had one, but I hadn't realized that 10/36 had one as well.

I'm hoping that sometime over the next few months, at least one of the major network affiliates (hopefully more) invest in a HD character generator. I mean, they'll need it in a year, may as well bite the bullet and just buy and install the thing already.
