Channels mysteriously appearing!!!

I've had this Sammy for about a year now and I thought I'd post this problem here to see if anyone else has seen this problem and if they know of a fix.
I have the Samsung HP-S4273 and it forgets Favorites and even saved channels in the "All Channels" menu.
I have the TV hooked up via cable using a direct coax connection on this TV (bedroom) and I do not use the cable box on it. My other TV uses the cable box so I am using (the QAM tuner) I'm assuming for the Sammy.
I can spend 20+ minutes going through the "All Channels" guide and delete all of the non-used channels and garbage I don't want to see when I scroll either through "My Favorites" of even just using the up and down channel.
The problem is...... When I turn the TV off and then turn it on it magically adds channels that I deleted.
Example: I add the analog channels 3 -70 and HD channels 85-6, 85-12, 0-104, 1-4 etc.....
The next night I turn on the TV and magically channels are added like 103-5, 113-1 thru 113-10, 116-0 thru 116-12 and on and on........
I have to go back to the Channel area and spend 5 -10 deleting channels I never added!!!!!
The channels that are added are totally random and I have no clue to how this is happening!

This happens all of the time and any input or help from board members here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time!

My Samsung h260f set top box does this with the QAM channels quite often.  Not sure if it's a Samsung thing or that TWC is making changes to their channels periodically.

Although it's a pain, I've had good come out of it as well.  Whenever TWC adds a new channel to the lineup, it always seems to pop up automatically without having to rescan.  This happened with 18 and 24, as well as the new subchannel that 58 added.

My situation is similar but different at the same time. The channels don't show up when I channel up/down but when I enter them in directly it has no problem tuning them in. It is totally random and frustrating. I don't know if the QAM tuner is doing a channel check at power up and sees a low signal from TWC and decides not to display individual channels but there is no reason for it to randomly add channels I deleted like 2, 36 (analog channels) and bizarre digital channels like 106-4 etc...

It really appears to be some sort of tuner glitch but I was hoping that there would be some way to flash upgrade it but there is on Ethernet or upgrade options in the menu like I have seen on other devices.

Thanks again for any insight into helping my frustration.:bang:

Sounds like a Samsung thing, my mpeg-2 Samsung HD box for D* used to do that all of the time also.

I'm a TWC customer so I wouldnt know anything about channels mysteriously appearing, especially HD channels.

Yes, I second that!
Considering TWC-Green Bay's area, just got the History Channel HD and National Geographic HD "appearing"
-and us in Milwaukeeland's ("SE Wisconsin" TWC) got left out.
