AT&T U-Verse lights up in metro Chicago on January 28, 2008...

Did they switch boxes?  I got Uverse last spring and my box has component video as well.  I use that connected to my projector which does not have DVI/HDMI.  HD comes though just fine...

I used to have my u-verse box hooked up with HDMI...  I had daily lock-ups and re-boots and I had all kinds of problems, so a tech came out to my house and replaced my DVR box and he suggested I try using component....

After a week with the new box and the same old problems, I switched from HDMI to component...

I have not had a problem since...

Sorta sucks, but I guess I will use component until U-verse comes out with new boxes (I hope its soon)...

Sorta sux that we are stuck with these microsoft laden pieces of crap they are passing off as television set-top boxes...
