I wonder why OUR Milw. TWC isn't adding these channels??? I just read that DTV is cutting the price of their HD DVR by $100 next January. I wonder how many more TWC customers are gonna jump ship??? I know I'm VERY close to the edge already.....

Hello and nice to hear from you.
I have a pricing matrix being setup for consulting and sales calls that incorporates the TWCHD and DirectvHD channels, DVR service and pricing for 2008 almost done.
Let me add the decreased pricing for the HR21's you indicated in that matrix and see what happens...like more TWCHD subs leaving ...sooner.

FYI, all TWC Wisconsin needs to do (if any manager is listening) from what I hear from HDTV owners I work with is for TWC Wisconsin to offer all the HD channels other TWC locations currently offer:
This means the other 10 or more HD channels still missing from the TWC Wisconsin lineup (see my signature), not even figuring in the DirectvHD channels, many that there are!

I believe that TWC Wisconsin will be not sad to hear you are switching from TWC for payTV service to DirectvHD because they just don't care about you, period.
Understand, if they had cared about the HDTV owners and wanted them to keep them for CableTV service, they would have upgraded their infrastructure while Directv was getting their D10 satellite ready for launch a couple of YEARS ago.

Contracts would have been signed, analogue channels sent to digital and whatever else to make space for the new HD channels now available, but no:
TWC Wisconsin did almost nothing, even as the sky literally "falls" on them with Directv's new HD sat signals, they still insist it "is all in our minds"as they do today.

So the joke is in reality on them and while other TWC locations offer ten more HD channels than TWC Wisconsin, TWC Wisconsin's managers don't seem to think we folks here in Wisconsin really care...but we do...really, we do!

Currently, NYC TWC (including upstate NY), most TWC Texas cities, the Carolinas (both North and South) and today-New England (per avsforums) offer all the HD channels TWC has to offer...so it is POSSIBLE!

Heck, some of us aren't even comparing what DirectvHD offers, we are just asking for what the other TWC locations have already for the same money, but we keep on getting ripped off in Wisconsin.

TWC Albany, NY just added more HD channels to the available line up, including:

Weather Channel HD
Outdoor HD

This means there are TWELVE HD channels we don't get:
Even though these last 2 are newer for HD channel additions:
That still makes it between 10-12 HD channels that most TWC locations DO get that would be/should be in TWC Wisconsin by now.

See:http://www.timewarnercable.com/albany/programming/hdtv/programming.ashx?CLUID=223&Zip=&Image1.x=46&Image1.y=6

Also see the notice that says:
"And more are on the way, including Fox Business News, Lifetime Movie Network, Starz, Cinemax and more!"
- This is in addition to the 30+ HD channels this TWC location already has.

Sure stinks to have TWC Wisconsin as your cableTV service provider, doesn't it?
