So, here's what our friends at CH 10 & 36 are doing, now that "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" is being broadcast in HD.

As always, it is shown at 6:30 PM on plain old analog CH 36, only now, on an HD set, it is letterboxed and pillared -- black top and bottom, and gray on both sides.  It is also plain old analog quality.  It is also being shown at 9:00 PM in HD on 10-1 with nice new HD quality.

The problem is, of course, that it is being shown in HD at the wrong time.  So, now that the program is in HD, why don't they switch the 6:30 show to 36-1, so we can see "the evening news" in the evening, and in HD?

I understand that the HD screen percentage is up to 25%, and while not all of that 25% can get HD programming, the HD-capable population is rising.  So, come on, 10/36, let's get with it!
