The end of locally originated programs?

With Ask Gus gone, I think that just about does it for any regular, locally originated programming at the major commercial stations, if I am not mistaken.

Ch 4 - Sunday Night - GONE
Ch 6 - Ask Gus - GONE
Ch 12 - Can't recall what was last here (Mark Behling)?
Ch 58 - Never had anything.
Ch 18 - ?
Ch 24 - ?

I see Charlie Sykes is still on WTMJ. Is that local?

Discover Wis. does not count, nor do those home shows and real estate shows. Those aren't produced by the stations, are they?

I may be missing some shows. that still air. Feel free to add to the list.

Sykes is local.

Mike Gousha is coming back to local TV with a show for channel 12.

Belling and Company was on CBS 58, and produced in their studio.

Operative word on Belling is *was.*  He got dumped because runnning paid infomercials created a greater cash flow.

I suspect that was the logic behind dumping Gus as well.

I'm pretty sure WVCY TV-30 airs a lot of local programing... Probably nothing anyone would want to watch; but it's there...

Yeah, probably better said: not much that many people would want to watch. But for VCY, it's the nature of the message, not the size of the audience.

But even then, what does Vic produce locally besides In Focus?

Is In Focus that call in show where they take calls about whatever the latest topic is that they're concerned about? If it is; beyond that, I don't know. I think they air video from ralleys that they put together if that counts.
