It's about time. It will hopefully force the price of HDTV's to continue to drop.
..........hopefully then we will have more HD programming to come.

I know that this means they will all be digital.  But does that mean they will all be HD?  For example, we have an SD TV with digital tuning that we got in February 2006. (No HD yet, as TWC Wisconsin does not offer enough channels in HD format to justify the price.)  But I am ready with a HD-DVR.

All sets sold after the cut off date had to have digital OTA tuners in them only.
Digital can mean HD, but it doesn't have to be.
If you have satellite, cable or teleco TV service, you are not affected.
Best Buy (and other vendors) are not selling anymore analogue tuner TVs.
Manufacturers do and can sell HD "monitors" without any tuners, too.
