$1099 for 3808CI

Sounds too good to be true but others are buying them.......

FYI, I bought my Denon AVR from Flanner's for 25% off by trading in my older Pioneer Elite receiver.
Flanner's takes trade-ins, at least they have advertised it and did with me.
I don't know what you may want to trade in, but try to get an estimate before you trade,  if that is possible.:D

I bought my ES from Flanners and got a great deal on it many years ago.
I'm thinking of selling my Yamaha amp, preamp and tuner combo (paid about $1500 18 years ago) on Craigs list and see if anyone will buy it.
Having the furnace replaced this week so......... the Denon may have to wait a while. :(

I love my Denon receiver.  I tend not to be brand loyal and shop on price most times, but I will say my next receiver will also be a Denon.

flash, you could get a new Denon from Crutchfield on a time-pay basis and they offer excellent customer service as an authourized Denon dealer.
What I mean is, in the recent past I ordered an item and asked their CS department for a four month equal payment setup and it worked.
For example, the $1600 Denon AVR-3808CI gets authourized to your credit card, then the authourization falls off in a few days after your order is shipped.
Then...
You only get charged $400 for November, December, January and February.
That's it, nothing more: No tax, free shipping and no interest.
-Just thought I would pass this along, now that the heating season has come and your furnace isn't playing nice.

Just got done replacing the furnace and heat is a good thing.
I called One Call to match the 6th Ave. price and they would only go down to $1,400 with and HDMI cable.
Called 6th Ave this morning and they stopped the Denon deal yesterday.
That's the story of my life....... a day late and $300 short.
I'll wait for another great deal and the pick up the 3808CI
I am a patient person and, for me at least, getting the deal is half the fun of the new purchase.
There will be deals around the $1,000 mark even if I have to wait 3-6 months.
If I could look into a crystal ball, I would guess that at CES 2008, Denon will be putting the Reon chip set into their new line next year.

flash, I am certain you will get the "itch" to buy the AVR-3808CI sooner than later.
-and find a way to make it "sooner".;)

I have been a Denon lover for years, and with my money on my fourth receiver....I went with the Onkyo 805...with a price point of 800 dollars, I could not justify the Denon name this time.  With the little difference between the 805 and the 875, I will save my money for some other component.  I figured that with how often I change out these things, that I dont need to go all in every two or three years.  But, time will tell as I try to get used to a new interface.  Strange to think that my old Denon 3805 is going to serve as a distribution amp for the speakers at my bar.  A terrible sentence for any receiver...

I would be careful. If you buy a Denon from a non-authorized dealers there is no warranty.
