I just got a tabletop OTA anntena for my HR-20. I am having an issue with the hr-20 not getting any signal from the Anntena. When I plug the anntena into my TV I get all the locals in HD. When I plug it into the H-20 and try to setup the ota, I get no signals. Has anyone seen this before? I just got off the phone with D* cust. service. All I got was a 15$ discount on my bill, and sent to the wavier req. dept. :bang:
I am hoping for the wavier, but I am holding my breath after reading other posts.

If someone has any idea or 2 I am all ears.

Thanks

You won't get a waiver... so let us help you figure out what's happening. West Allis makes you close enough to be able to get all the local digital OTA channels.

The obvious question is if you're SURE you've plugged your antenna into the correct jack in the back of your box... which is an HR10-700?

If I drop TWC and get DirecTV, will a table top antenna get CW 18 and CBS 58 from my basement tv room or will an attic antenna work or will I need an antenna on the roof?

I live in Waterford, and I use a tabletop antenna...the Silver Sensor in my attic to get my locals.  I know someone who live in Five Fields subdivision in Pewaukee that is able to get his locals from the basement with a Silver Sensor antenna.  Not guaranteeing it, but sounds like you would be able to receiver them.  Does you current TV have a built in ATSC tuner that you can try?

Well, i checked the back of my box, and I do have an h20-100, but I did have the cable pluged in the RF anntena terminal. So I feel very polish today.:o  I am getting the channels, but I need work on getting better signal strength. I did get an RCA Antenna.  Is thier a better indoor Antenna? I would love to put one on the roof but, the boss is not to crazy about if for one channel.

The Radio Shack Double Bowtie is the one that many of us rave about, and one of our members has one for sale for $20. Gets me 100% signal strength in Jackson just sitting on the top of my media closet in the living room... it's not very good looking but it doesn't take up as much space as a pair of fully extended rabbit ears, so it's hidden behind some decorative greenery and it can't be seen.

The Silver Sensor does OK for me as well....
