Definitely the phone companies are going to be some major competition.  That's great. For years TWC had virtually no competition.  Now they do and they are losing customers big time. The more competition the better.

Its official.  Moving Tuesday.  Goodbye TWC.

There is so much that can happen over the next few year, there are technologies that just starting to make it in this area, like Broadband Over Power Lines (BPL). Illinois is looking into that technology right now and if that ever make it, then having high cost in infrastructure isn't true, because the infrastructure would already be in place. TWC better be very careful because things are changing, and now others can get into the game.
Remember 10 years or so ago, how many cell phone companies there were?  Now it's seems like a dozen or more. I can see that happening with cable and dish companies.  Then you will start seeing real deals being made out there.

Quote from: Jack 1000;42232In Milwaukee,

Does Direct TV have CBS, NBC, and ABC in SD (as opposed to not having them at all?)  The independent 24 and CW 18 would need an aerial antenna, right?

Jack

D* carries all the local Milwaukee stations in SD.  This includes PBS, CW, MyTV, and WMLW.  D* offers NBC, FOX, and ABC in HD at the moment.  If D* offers the channel in HD you will get it in HD.  If D* does not offer the channel in HD, you will still get the channel, but it will be SD.
