TBS HD up on TWC!

TBS HD is up in Milwaukee.  Watched the Cubs game last night, the picture is beautiful.  It's channel 534.  

Now if we could only get Food and HGTV, we'd be happy.

Welcome to the forum, glad to hear from you.

Hope you aren't too excited about that ONE HD channel TWC just added, as you might want to savour it for awhile longer.
-TWC Milwaukee is not used to adding HD channels in the area:
It might be awhile before another (one) is added!
(but TWC won't tell YOU about it if we get others, so you'll hear about from us via Tim C. of the JS)

If there are any questions regarding a HT setup, HD DVR use, OTA, high def DVD players or any other questions or topics you need to discuss....here we are! :wave:

I assume this is like ESPN2HD where those of us with CableCARDs can't get the channel since all I see is the TW preview channel on 534.

Thanks a bunch, TWC. Idiots. Just cause I want to use a REAL HD DVR (TiVo Series 3) and not your crappy box, I get screwed again.

Yes, it's SDV.. cablecard won't get it until they implement some two way service for it (there's a two way usb device suposedly in the works for tivo to get all hd channels via cablecard).  I'm assuming all new HD channels will be SDV.

love watching the playoffs in HD on TBS but, is anyone else as annoyed as me with their CONSTANT plugging of The Office?  :bang: I've never seen that show and by the VERY annoying plugs for it , I have no desire to. They are going about trying to woo new viewers the wrong way.

They require SDV which cablecard can't do yet.

I hope this would mean the end of the bulky set-top box that's like a step back to when TVs wern't analog-cable ready...

Agree, it was annoying, but Office...
Office is the best comedy show in years. And you should watch it, you don't know how much you missed.
