I doubt it happens soon (James Bond on MGMHD)
Voom has rights to this 007 collection and they showed it last year on month-long marathon in HD.
But I can't tell for sure.

If you check the link,

MGM has a banner up announcing MGMHD available on D* channel 255 starting tomorrow!

Get to watch all the old 007 movies in Hd.

That new HD channel will be part of the new HD package Directv is offering on top of the $9.99/monthly fee for the balance of the HD channels.
See: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPageNR.jsp?assetId=P4370078
This new Directv HD package ("DIRECTV HD Extra Pack ") pricing will be an additional $4.99 monthly when the pricing starts for it...six additional HD channels.
For those that balk at that, you don't have to pay for it to get HD channels, just those that don't have SD channels to match the HD ones.
HDNET, for example, does not offer an SD equivalent like Sci-Fi Channel does and so on.

Sad thing is, HDNET/HDNET Movies used to be included in the $9.99 monthly "HD Access Fee" and soon, they won't - it will be an additional $4.99 to get these and the MGMHD channel along with 3 others.

FYI: TWC offers something worse, as its HD subs can pay $6.95 monthly for the two HDNETs and get only the MOJO and Universal HD channels (four all total)!

Goldfinger and "From Russia with Love" will be on this month. I forgot the dates.

I think MGM supersedes any rights VOOM might have. 007 is their property. :)

I'm not sure, but some of us might be grandfathered for the HD Extra Pack. I'm still getting HDNet and have not heard any official words other than the Extra Package on the web site. I would not have missed those channels, but MGM might worth the $5.

The extra charge starts in Janaury, I believe.
Besides the Bond flicks, I see a few other movies on MGM this month I'll be recording - The Usual Suspects, Mad Max, Hotel Rowanda...
