The magic hour rolls in, 9pm. Wife sat through me watching War and is ready for her Law and Order SVU.

Oh wait, something happened. Why is the biggest loser replaying? Cut to blank screen, back to biggest loser. Cut to commerical and cut back to Law and Order SVU, but missed first 5 mins. Cut to commerical and back to biggest loser... A few minutes later SVU is back in SD, another commerical break and HD kicks in.

All the while I could tell SVU was coming in on the SD channel but its all static for us with the antenna...

Nice job over there. I thought at first that maybe Bush had been on or something that pushed everything around, since I watched it off DVR at like 11:30 last night.

I hope we don't have these kind of screw-ups to look forward to all season.

What the hell is going on at WTMJ?

I flipped over to watch the premiere of Bionic Woman... except they started playing what I can only assume was the feed for the Mountain Time zone, because they first did the prime-time intro bumper ("Bionic Wednesday starts NOW!") and then kicked into Deal or No Deal, which airs at 7:00.

They played that for almost a minute, then flipped over to the SD version of Bionic Woman for at least the first 5 minutes of the show before apparently finally figuring out where the eastern/central feed is and resuming the HD broadcast.

I programmed my 8300HDC DVR to record last nights season premeire of The Office. But when I went to my recorded list I got a message saying it did not record because the channel was not available. This seems weird because it recorded My Name Is Earl which preceeded it without any problems. I am trying to determine if this was a an issue with my DVR , TWC or TMJ's transmission. I am pretty miffed as this is my favorite show and now I will have to wait for  the repeat airing.

I had Office and CSI recording on my HDHR on TWC last night and I got partial recordings on both.  They both stopped recording about half way through and the Media Center history says it was signal loss.  I have seen channels dissappear the last few weeks for no apparent reason especially the qam channel that contains both NBC and FOX HD stations.  Downloading episodes now.  Anyone else have issues last night?

Thanks to NBC's website I was able to watch the episode.  The writers on that show are the best. Just wonder whos fault it was for the channel drop out.

Grey's Anatomy only taped the first 31 minutes for us on ABC.  Luckily, we were able to watch the rest online the next day.

No problems with The Office or Earl.

Well It's been awhile since I've posted, but I just had to say something on the subject. I didn't witness the mentioned actions cuz I wasn't watching the shows. But I will agree that the local stations aren't noobs anymore. I would have been more forgiving back then when we were the pioneers of HDTV in Milwaukee. Not anymore!

The stations should be on top of this and pretty much experts by now. The noob period is over, now act like you know what you're doing. You've had plenty of practice now. :mad:
