What a horrible article.  The author really would have done himself and readers a service by doing a little fact checking and research before submitting it for publication.  At least the reader comments have corrected some of the inaccuracies.

It seems every move the HD DVD folks make, someone from the BD group calls it desperate.

Considering how much of this battle remains to be fought, it's too early for either side to act out of desperation at this point.
